I remember when you told me,
"I would have done anything for that man."
What he did for your heart,
Unparalleled, magnificent and grand.

I know that sweet sickness,
Willing to anything and more.
The thought of my Love leaving,

Nearly impossible to endure.

So you bend your life like a pretzel,
Taking shapes strange and unnatural.
All you want to find is contentment,
But left weeping on the floor.

Strange as the world tilts,
No longer two standing together.
One is now on top
One is below the other forever.

Now there grows a power,
One person now gives and takes away.
The other can only stand there,
Softy whispers, hopes and prays.

But finally it is realized,
The end approaches- no delays.
No matter what you do or say,
You Love turns and walks away.

Now scared, panicked and lost,
This can't be the right way!
This is the story being written,
Not fiction- my heart now dissolves away.

Then you realize the worst part,
Something I just can't stand,
The one on top now hates me,
How has it gotten this bad?
