If there was just one single thing; One part of my life that is completely in opposition of my desire. One thing I would do anything to change.
The thing that would be worth any amount of money, any personal possession or any measurable wealth to change. The one situation where I can say the worst outcome was totally realized. The one thing I prayed wouldn't be possible to actually have happened. Defcon 4, Code Red, Uberbad - the one thing that I wish that I could change no matter what and would do anything in the world to do so...
Yes, the fact that it is like this between us, the fact you are gone, the fact we don't speak, the reality I truly hurt you in such an extraordinary way. The one thing I wish more than anything in the world was not the truth - the fact that I am no longer you friend. To have this happen - when all I wanted was to remain your friend - it the most devastating blow of my adult life.
Until then, stay insane. It just makes for a better world, believe me.
